Gas supply to remain suspended in Savar, Ashulia for 24-hour

Gas supply will be suspended for 24 hours across Savar, Ashulia, and surrounding areas starting Friday morning due to emergency pipeline relocation work for the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway project, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited announced on Thursday (April 9).
The shutdown will begin at 8:00am on Friday and continue until 8:00am Saturday.
All categories of consumers in the affected areas will be without gas during this period to facilitate urgent maintenance work.
The affected zones include both sides of the Ashulia TBS–Bipail road; Dhaka EPZ; Malancha Power Plant; Beximco Industrial Complex; Kashimpur; Saradaganj; Haji Market; Sripur; Chandra; Nabinagar; Savar town; Savar Cantonment; Ulail; Bank Town; Radio Colony; Kolma; Doshaid; Kumkumari; Akran; Charabag; Boro Ashulia; Tongabari; Kathgara; Zirabo; Gazirchat; Noyapara; Dewan Idris Road; Nayarhat; Bolibhadrapur; Pallibidyut; Dendabor; Bhadail; and Latifpur.
Titas cautioned that areas adjacent to the affected zones may experience low gas pressure during the maintenance period.
The company said it is working to complete the pipeline relocation quickly and restore normal supply within the scheduled timeframe and apologised for the temporary inconvenience to consumers.
