Germany extended their commanding lead to 5-1 midway through the second half, putting on a clinic in offensive football against tournament debutants Curaçao in their FIFA World Cup Group E match at NRG Stadium.

The European powerhouses have turned the game into a statement performance, enjoying themselves on the pitch after shaking off a surprisingly stiff first-half challenge.

Germany originally took an early lead in the 6th minute when Felix Nmecha converted a brilliant, no-look pass from Florian Wirtz. Curaçao briefly turned the match on its head in the 20th minute when Livano Comenencia beat Manuel Neuer to score a historic equalizer, but German defender Nico Schlotterbeck restored his side's advantage in the 37th minute to make it 2-1.

Determined to assert their dominance before the interval, Germany intensified their offensive transitions. The pressure paid off deep into first-half stoppage time (45+4') when Kai Havertz coolly converted a penalty, sending Germany into the dugout with a 3-1 lead.

Any hopes of a second-half comeback for Curaçao were swiftly thwarted just two minutes after the restart. Joshua Kimmich carved open the Curaçao defense with a single, precise pass, picking out Jamal Musiala on the angle. The young forward showcased supreme quality, drilling a low, clinical finish into the far corner past Eloy Room in the 47th minute.

Julian Nagelsmann's side refused to take their foot off the gas, adding a fifth in the 68th minute through some superb combination play. Substitute Deniz Undav unlocked the defense with a quick, no-look flick that sent Nathaniel Brown racing in behind Juninho Bacuna. As the ball sat up perfectly 12 yards out, Brown boomed a quality, powerful finish into the far corner.

The goal solidifies Germany’s absolute authority on the match, turning the second half into a celebration of attacking football and leaving the debutants completely overwhelmed.
