The match between Japan and the Netherlands has come alive right after the halftime break. Following back-to-back goals from both sides, the match is now tied at 1-1.

After a goalless first half, captain Virgil van Dijk put the Netherlands ahead in the 51st minute. The Liverpool defender found the back of the net with a powerful header from a cross floating in from the right flank. The ball hit the post before going into the net, giving the Dutch a 1-0 lead. This marks Van Dijk's first goal for his country in a major tournament.

However, the Netherlands' joy did not last long. Just six minutes later, Japan fought back to find the equalizer. In the 57th minute, midfielder Keito Nakamura scored from a brilliant attack built down the left flank.

With Nakamura's goal, Japan fought their way back into the match, spreading fresh excitement across the pitch.
