Gold price crosses Tk2.10 lakh per bhori
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has once again increased gold prices, pushing the rate of 22-carat gold above Tk 2,10,000 per bhori. The latest revision raises prices by up to Tk 2,403 per bhori.
In a statement issued on Saturday (November 29), BAJUS said the adjustment was made due to a rise in the price of refined gold in the local market and international gold prices exceeding USD 4,200 per ounce. The new rates will take effect from Sunday (November 30).
Under the revised prices, 22-carat gold will cost Tk 2,10,570 per bhori, 21-carat Tk 2,01,006, 18-carat Tk 1,72,289 and traditional gold Tk 1,43,327 per bhori.
Despite the gold price hike, silver rates remain unchanged: 22-carat silver is priced at Tk 4,246 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 4,047, 18-carat at Tk 3,476 and traditional silver at Tk 2,601 per bhori.
