Gold price rises again after two consecutive drops
Gold prices have increased again in the local market after two consecutive reductions. The price of 22-carat gold per bhori has risen by Tk 4,432, bringing the new price to Tk 2,30,772, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced on Monday, June 22.
The new prices came into effect from 10:00 am on the same day.
BAJUS said the price adjustment was made due to an increase in the price of pure gold in the local market. According to the new rates, 21-carat gold per bhori is now Tk 2,20,391, 18-carat gold is Tk 1,89,248, and traditional method gold is Tk 1,54,606.
The new prices will remain in effect until further notice.
Earlier, on June 20, gold prices were reduced by Tk 2,216 per bhori, setting the price of 22-carat gold at Tk 2,26,340.
Meanwhile, silver prices have remained unchanged. Currently, 22-carat silver per bhori is being sold at Tk 5,249.
