Gold prices in the country have been reduced again within 24 hours, with a decrease of Tk 2,216 per bhori, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).

The revised rates came into effect from 10:00am on Wednesday (April 29), said a BAJUS press release.

Under the new pricing, 22-carat gold is now set at Tk 2,42,495 per bhori (11.664 grams). The price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,31,472, while 18-carat gold stands at Tk 1,98,405 per bhori. Traditional gold is priced at Tk 1,61,605 per bhori.

BAJUS said the adjustment was made following a decline in the local price of pure gold in the international and domestic markets.

This comes a day after gold prices were also reduced by Tk 2,216 per bhori on Tuesday (April 28), when 22-carat gold was priced at Tk 244,711.

So far in 2025, gold prices in the local market have been adjusted 58 times, with 32 increases and 26 decreases. In the previous year, prices were revised 93 times.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged. 22-carat silver is currently priced at Tk 5,482 per bhori, while 21-carat is Tk 5,190, 18-carat Tk 4,491, and traditional silver Tk 3,383 per bhori.
