Gold prices rise again in local market

Gold prices have increased again in the local market. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced the new prices in a press release on Monday, June 15.

According to the press release, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been raised by Tk 5,482 to Tk 2,30,422. The price of silver has also been increased. The price of silver per bhori has been raised by Tk 233 to Tk 5,365. The new rates will be effective from 10:00 am.

Earlier on June 13, BAJUS had raised gold prices in the local market. On that day, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was increased by Tk 6,590 to Tk 2,24,940. The price of silver per bhori was increased by Tk 291 to Tk 5,132.

According to the new rates, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be Tk 2,30,422, 21-carat gold per bhori will be Tk 2,19,983, 18-carat gold per bhori will be Tk 1,88,549, and traditional method gold per bhori will be Tk 1,53,557.

Meanwhile, according to the new silver rates, the price of 22-carat silver per bhori (11.664 grams) will be Tk 5,365, 21-carat silver per bhori will be Tk 5,132, 18-carat silver per bhori will be Tk 4,432, and traditional method silver per bhori will be Tk 3,324.

So far this year, BAJUS has adjusted gold prices a total of 75 times in the local market. Among these, prices have been increased 39 times and decreased 36 times. In contrast, gold prices were adjusted a total of 93 times in 2025, with 64 increases and only 29 decreases.
