Google and Samsung have jointly developed a new generation of smart glasses named “Intelligent Eyewear,” marking a significant move into AI-driven wearable technology.

According to industry sources, the device has been designed in collaboration with fashion brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, combining advanced hardware, artificial intelligence and lifestyle-focused design in a bid to compete in the rapidly growing smart eyewear market.

Powered by Google’s Gemini AI and Samsung hardware technology, the glasses are expected to offer a range of hands-free features including real-time translation, navigation assistance, notification summaries and image capture through voice commands.

Additionally, the device is also designed to integrate seamlessly with the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem.

Industry observers say the product positions itself as a direct competitor to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses, which have already gained strong traction in the consumer wearable segment.

Google and Samsung described the device as part of their broader vision for AI-first wearable computing, aimed at blending everyday utility with fashion-forward design.

Analysts suggest the partnership reflects intensifying competition in the smart glasses market, where technology companies are increasingly working with fashion houses to drive mainstream adoption.
