Green Concern's Foundation marks first anniversary

The first anniversary of Green Concern's Foundation (GCF), a non-governmental development organisation, was celebrated on Thursday, October 16, 2025. The organisation began its journey one year ago with the slogan 'Build a Green, Beautiful World'

The anniversary event, held in Khilgaon, featured a reception, cake-cutting, and floral greetings. Attendees included the Foundation's Chairman Mr Md Mujibur Rahman, Vice-Chairman Mr Md Akbar Ali, Secretary Mr Ranzit Kumar Sarkar, Treasurer Mr Md Saidur Rahman, Executive Director Tahmina Khanam, Executive Member Sheikh Kaniz Fatema, and other distinguished figures.

The Chairman of the organisation, Mr. Md. Mujibur Rahman, spoke on the anniversary day. He said, 'Green Concern's Foundation is working to involve the general public, especially the young generation, in nature and environmental conservation. We want to play a role in the welfare of the country in the future through the organisation's research, field-level environmental management and basic policy-making activities.'

Also, expressing special gratitude to the executive committee and all the concerned officers and employees, the organisation's executive director Tahmina Khanam said, 'We, Green Concern's Foundation, are determined to work on a large scale through various creative and innovative activities, keeping in mind the needs of the people deprived of access to land. In the coming days, the coordination of the government and various domestic and international development organisations will further accelerate our journey.'

In order to protect the environment, promote social sustainability, and combat the impacts of climate change, the Green Concern's Foundation is relentlessly adopting and implementing various development programs or projects based on the needs of the target population and work areas, in accordance with its strategic and multidimensional plan, embodying the organisational vision, mission, and values.
