Hamza, Fahamidul to play against Bhutan

Bangladesh will take on Bhutan in a FIFA Tier-1 international match at 7.00pm today (June 4). Dewan Hamza Choudhury and Fahamidul Islam are set to feature for Bangladesh in the game. Head coach Javier Cabrera confirmed that Hamza will play the full match, while Fahamidul is expected to come on during a portion of the game.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference at the BFF office on Tuesday (June 3), head coach Javier Cabrera said, “Bangladesh is excited for the game. We’re treating the match against Bhutan as preparation for the upcoming fixture against Singapore. The entire team is in a positive mindset.”

Meanwhile, Canadian expatriate footballer Shamit Shome has not joined the squad yet. However, he is expected to play in the upcoming match against Singapore. His presence is likely to strengthen the midfield. The coach will finalize midfield roles after discussions.
