His & Hers tops Netflix’s first-half viewership with 100.4m views

Netflix mystery thriller His & Hers was the platform’s most-watched series during the first half of 2026, drawing 100.4 million views between January and June, according to figures released by Netflix.

The six-episode series premiered on January 8 and is based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name. William Oldroyd directed the adaptation.

The story follows Atlanta television journalist Anna Andrews, who returns to her hometown to investigate a murder. The case takes an unexpected turn when the detective leading the investigation, Jack Harper, is her estranged husband. As the investigation unfolds, the two begin viewing the same case from opposing perspectives, with suspicion growing between them.

Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal lead the cast, alongside Pablo Schreiber, Crystal Fox, Sunita Mani, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Marin Ireland.

Despite its strong audience numbers, the series received mixed reviews. It holds a 71 percent critics’ score and a 62 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics divided over its pacing, plot logic and character decisions.

Bridgerton Season 4 ranked second in Netflix’s first-half viewership rankings with 100.2 million views—just 200,000 fewer than His & Hers.
