The 2026 FIFA World Cup final is set to write a new chapter not only in football but also in the history of entertainment. For the first time ever, a Super Bowl-style halftime show will be held at a World Cup final, featuring a joint performance by four global superstars—Justin Bieber, Madonna, Shakira, and the popular South Korean band BTS.

While FIFA had previously confirmed the participation of Madonna, Shakira, and BTS, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber has now officially joined the lineup. As a result, audiences will witness four generations of global musical powerhouses performing on the same stage.

The World Cup final will take place on July 19 at the New York New Jersey Stadium. This special halftime show will run for approximately 11 minutes during the match interval. Due to this arrangement, the traditional 15-minute halftime break may be slightly extended.

The creative direction of the show is being curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Under his supervision, the event will also feature performances by Nigerian Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, world-renowned orchestra conductor Gustavo Dudamel, Coldplay, and New York's PS22 Children's Chorus. Special appearances will also be made by beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.

FIFA anticipates that around two billion viewers worldwide will watch the event live across television and digital platforms. The halftime show will be broadcast alongside the match by FIFA's rights-holding broadcasters and streaming platforms in various countries.

The event also carries a social objective. FIFA aims to leverage the halftime show to raise USD 100 million for the "FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund." The proceeds will be utilized to expand access to quality education and football opportunities for underprivileged children across the globe.

While the Super Bowl halftime show has long been one of the most talked-about entertainment events in the world, FIFA is bringing this concept to a World Cup final for the very first time. Consequently, the final on July 19 will not only determine the world champion of football but will also stand as a historic celebration of music, entertainment, and global culture.
