Hollywood actress Diane Ladd no more

Veteran Hollywood actress Diane Ladd, 89, passed away on Monday, November 3, due to natural causes. Her family confirmed the news to the Washington Post.

Diane Ladd was a three-time Academy Award nominee and a Golden Globe winner. She was particularly known for bringing strong, complex female characters to life on screen. Her estimated net worth was 10 million dollars.

Diane’s daughter, Laura Dern, said in a statement that her mother died at her home in Ojai, California, with family by her side. Laura said, “She was the best daughter, mother, grandmother, actress, and compassionate soul. We were with her, and we are grateful for that. Now she is flying with the angels.”

Diane Ladd was born on 29 November 1935 in Laurel, Mississippi, the only child of veterinarian Preston Paul Ladner and actress Mary Bernadette Ladner. From an early age, she excelled in acting, singing, and dance, and entered the world of television and film in the 1960s.
