Hollywood Director Rob Reiner, wife die mysteriously in LA home

Hollywood director and actor Rob Reiner, 78, and his wife Michelle Reiner, 68,  were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their Los Angeles (LA) home on Sunday afternoon (December 14), reports BBC.

Los Angeles Police Department officials from the Robbery-Homicide Division are investigating the case as a potential homicide.

Rob Reiner was celebrated for directing iconic films such as "The Princess Bride", "When Harry Met Sally", and "This Is Spinal Tap". He gained fame in the 1970s for his role as “Meathead” in the popular TV series "All in the Family".

Reiner was previously married to actress Penny Marshall from 1971 to 1981 and was the adoptive father of her daughter, actress Tracey Reiner. In 1989, he married actress and photographer Michelle Reiner, with whom he had three children: Jake, Nick, and Romy.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the couple’s deaths.
