HSC, equivalent exam results published: Pass rate drops to 58.83%
Results of the 2025 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations have been published, showing an overall pass rate of 58.83% under 11 education boards, including madrasa and technical boards.
The rate fell 18.95 percentage points from last year’s 77.78%.
Institutions can download results using their EIIN from www.educationboardresults.gov.bd, while students can access individual results through the same site or respective board websites.
Results can also be obtained via SMS by typing: HSC Board Roll 2025 and sending it to 16222.
Applications for result re-evaluation will be accepted from October 17 to 23 through https://rescrutinu.eduboardresult.gov.bd.
All boards simultaneously released the results Thursday (October 16) at 10am through their official websites.
A total of 12,51,111 students registered this year—6,18,015 male and 6,33,096 female—while about 27,000 were absent. The exams were held across 2,797 centers nationwide.
A total of 291,241 candidates appeared from the Dhaka Board, followed by 133,242 from Rajshahi Board, 111,750 from Cumilla Board, 116,317 from Jashore Board, 135,000 from Chattogram Board, 61,025 from Barishal Board, 69,683 from Sylhet Board, 138,832 from Dinajpur Board, and 78,273 from Mymensingh Board.
Additionally, there were 86,102 candidates under the Madrasa Education Board (Alim) and 196,611 candidates under the Technical Education Board.
The exams were held from June 26 to August 19, and results are being released within the scheduled timeframe.
This year’s results were prepared under the “real evaluation” system, and like the recent SSC results, were published without any formal ceremony.
