The death toll from Israeli attacks in Iran continues to climb, but there is a notable discrepancy between the numbers reported by the human rights organization Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRANA) and those released by the Iranian government.

HRANA reports that at least 452 people were killed and 646 injured in Iran between Friday (June 13) and Tuesday (June 17). In comparison, the Health Ministry states that 224 people have died. The ministry also confirmed that over the past five days, a total of 1,286 individuals with injuries ranging from mild to critical have been treated in hospitals.

On Tuesday, the BBC reported, citing HRANA, that out of the Iranian casualties, 224 were civilians and 109 were military personnel. Among the injured, 188 were civilians and 123 were members of the military.

The organization also noted that the identities of 119 deceased and 335 injured individuals remain unconfirmed, making it unclear whether they were civilians or military.

Meanwhile, Israel stated that during the same period, at least 24 people, including Israeli civilians, were killed in Iran’s counterattacks. More than 500 others received medical treatment in hospitals, with 154 still admitted. Of those hospitalized, four are in moderately serious condition, 130 are relatively stable, 15 are undergoing further examination, and five are experiencing psychological trauma, according to Israel’s Health Ministry.
