IDF resumes striking targets in Tehran
Iran launched dozens of ballistic missiles toward Israel on Friday night in retaliation for Israel's surprise attack early Friday.
Israel struck at the heart of the Iran's nuclear program, killing several nuclear scientists as well as high-ranking military leaders, according to Israeli officials.
The U.S. did not provide any military assistance or have any involvement in the Israeli strike, a U.S. official told ABC News.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “expressed sorrow” for the three Israelis killed in Iran’s retaliatory strikes Friday in a statement released from his office originally in Hebrew.
Netanyahu said he spoke with the mayors of Rishon LeZion, Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan -- all areas that were hit in the attack.
Netanyahu "told the mayors that the government will provide whatever assistance is needed for rehabilitation and treatment of the damage caused by the attacks," the Prime Minister’s Office said in the statement.
