India concerned over attacks targeting 'Hindu families' in Bangladesh
India has expressed concern over recent attacks targeting 'Hindu families' in Bangladesh. The country's Ministry of External Affairs said it is closely monitoring the law and order situation in Bangladesh and the security of minorities.
During a briefing on Friday, the spokesperson for India's Ministry of External Affairs was asked about allegations of "deliberately targeting Hindu families" in Bangladesh and the steps taken by the Bangladeshi government in this regard.
In response, spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said it is the responsibility of the Bangladeshi government to manage the law and order situation and ensure the safety of citizens. He commented that the Bangladesh government must perform its duties more strictly in this regard.
Earlier in the briefing, a journalist mentioned that alongside the humanitarian crisis in Bangladesh, there have been two incidents of "deliberately targeting Hindu families," and questioned whether the Bangladesh government was taking appropriate action.
In response, Jaiswal said India is keeping an eye on the situation in Bangladesh.
