India to play postponed series in Bangladesh
The Indian cricket team is coming to Bangladesh to play the previously postponed series. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is planning to host a series against India at home in September this year, cricket-based website Cricbuzz reported.
The BCB wants to host the India series, which was postponed last year, in the August-September window this year. According to the schedule, the Indian team is scheduled to come to Bangladesh on August 28 to play three ODIs and three T20Is.
According to the BCB press release, the ODI matches will be held on September 1, 3 and 6. Then the T20 series will be held on September 9, 12 and 13. Due to this new schedule of the India series, the BCB has requested the Ireland Cricket Board to postpone the tour.
A BCB official said, 'We had requested Ireland to host the series at some other time, but due to their busy schedule, it is not possible. Hopefully, a new time can be found for this tour in 2027.'
