Indian actress Sanchita's hanging body recovered

The police have recovered the hanging body of popular television serial 'Kumkum Bhagya' actress Sanchita Ugale. The body of the 22-year-old actress was recovered from her residence in Nalasopara, Mumbai on Sunday evening. Although it was initially suspected to be a case of suicide, an investigation is underway to find out the exact cause of death.

Sanchita's father Machhindra Ugale said that the daughter had been suffering from mental instability for a long time. Although she seemed normal on the outside, she would suddenly sink into deep depression. The family always tried to keep someone by her side. But that day, an unexpected incident happened just when she was alone for a short time.

He further alleged that the daughter had been facing various pressures and harassment for a long time. She was regularly harassed with financial and other demands. However, the truth of this allegation is still under investigation and the police have not formally held anyone responsible.

Seeking justice for her daughter, he demanded an impartial investigation from the administration.

According to police sources, the room where the body was found was locked from inside and no suicide note was found. Investigators have registered a case of sudden death and are investigating. The All Indian Cine Workers Association has also demanded a high-level inquiry.

Apart from 'Kumkum Bhagya', Sanchita has acted in serials 'Wagle Ki Duniya' and 'Dilwale Dulha Le Jaegi'. In 2025, she was seen as Tarabai in the historical film 'Chaaba' and in 'Silence 2'.
