Indian journalist Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh leaves Republic Bangla
Noted journalist Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh has left the Indian media outlet Republic Bangla. He confirmed the matter on social media but did not specify why he left the organisation or where his next destination would be.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, August 5, Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh said his last working day at Republic Bangla was that morning.
In the post, he wrote that the decision was not sudden and that he had decided on it in 2025. He also mentioned that he would share details about his future plans when the time came.
Regarding his role in journalism, Mayukh said his work was to "inform the public" and create public opinion on various issues. He also said that both support and criticism were part of his profession.
It may be mentioned that Mayukh Ranjan Ghosh had been in the spotlight in Bangladesh due to his various comments on the 2024 student-public uprising in Bangladesh. In another Facebook post on Wednesday, he described the 2024 mass uprising as "a flawed, well-planned deep-state operation."
However, he has not yet made any announcement regarding joining any new media outlet.
