Indian military claims to have destroyed 9 terrorist camps in Pakistan
The Indian military has claimed to have destroyed nine terrorist camps inside Pakistan in missile strikes.
The Indian military said on Wednesday that its missile strikes in Pakistan destroyed "nine terrorist camps". They claimed that the bases destroyed were those of terrorists involved in the attack in Pahalgam in Indian-administered Kashmir last month.
Senior Indian Air Force officer Bhumika Singh told a briefing that the strikes targeted nine terrorist camps. The bases were successfully destroyed.
He also said that the targets were selected based on credible intelligence to avoid damage to infrastructure and loss of lives of civilians.
Indian Home Minister Amit Shah praised his country's armed forces in a post on X. He said that he is proud of them.
Amit Shah wrote, "Operation Sindoor is the response to the brutal killing of our innocent brothers in Pahalgam."
He also said, "The Modi government is determined to give a befitting reply to any attack on India and its people. India is determined to uproot terrorism."
