Indian teacher stabbed 34 times in 30 seconds

A 29-year-old female teacher was brutally stabbed 34 times in just 30 seconds by a young man outside a private school in India.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 4, at a school in Faridabad, Haryana. After the attack, the critically injured teacher, Sandhya, was taken to a local hospital where doctors declared her dead.

Police arrested the accused youth, Amit, 21, within two hours of the murder.

According to police and CCTV footage, the accused entered the school wearing a mask and gestured for Sandhya to come outside. As she approached, he grabbed her by the throat, dragged her away and repeatedly stabbed her in the face, neck, chest and abdomen. When school officials tried to intervene after hearing her screams, the attacker charged at them with the weapon. He then fled on a motorcycle with no number plate after stabbing her at least 34 times in just 30 seconds.

Police said preliminary investigations revealed that the accused had been harassing Sandhya for a long time. Following a complaint of eve-teasing filed by her, he was forced to publicly apologise. However, he held a grudge and carried out the attack for revenge.
