IndiGo cancels over 500 flights amid nationwide disruption
IndiGo Airlines cancelled more than 500 flights in a single day due to cabin crew shortages and technical issues, affecting its nationwide schedule for three consecutive days.
Only 19.7 percent of flights operated on time on Wednesday, down from 35 percent the previous day.
The airline, which runs around 2,300 flights daily, expects further cancellations in the coming days.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have met IndiGo officials to address the situation.
