Influencer Andrew Tate and his brother arrested in Miami

Social media influencer Andrew Tate, known for his pro-Trump stance, and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested in Miami, Florida, on Saturday .

The US Marshals Service confirmed the arrest on Sunday, with efforts underway to extradite them to the United Kingdom to face new charges of rape, sexual trafficking and assault .

The US law enforcement agency confirmed the arrest of self-proclaimed misogynist influencer Andrew Tate (39) and his brother. However, the specific charges against them have not been disclosed as the arrest warrant remains sealed .

Video published by US-based media outlet TMZ shows law enforcement officers handcuffing the two brothers and putting them into a vehicle . Footage circulating on X showed one individual attempting to speak to Tristan Tate, who did not respond.

The UK's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said in a statement that the US Marshals arrested Andrew and Tristan, who are wanted in Britain on various charges . Prosecutors in the UK are expected to apply for their extradition .

British authorities said on Sunday that the brothers face a total of 59 charges — 42 against Andrew Tate and 17 against Tristan Tate . The alleged offences are said to have taken place between July 2010 and August 2017 . The charges include rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, and offences relating to indecent images of children .
