Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur said that Awami League leaders and activities who have not done any misdeed have the right to do politics.

Nurul Haque Nur said: "We want to say clearly—Awami League supporters or activists who have not done any wrong to the people, have not committed any oppression, have not occupied anyone's house—should be open to all political parties."

He made this comment while addressing the election rally of Habiganj-3 constituency candidate Chowdhury Ashraful Bari Noman as the chief guest. The event was organized by the Habiganj District unit Gono Odhikar Parishad at the Habiganj Municipality Ground on Wednesday (November 12) afternoon.

He also said: "If you like BNP, go to BNP, if you like Jamaat, go to Jamaat, if you like Gono Odhikar Parishad and the NCP, go to—people should be able to freely do politics of their choice. Those who are good people have the right to do politics."

Regarding the referendum and the national elections, he said: "At the moment, there is no reality of holding the referendum and the national elections separately. There is no opportunity to form an alliance or merge with anyone around the national elections. However, many parties are already contacting us to participate in the elections."

He complained: "Attempts are being made to sabotage the elections by creating a fearful situation among the people."
