Iranian authorities have arrested two individuals accused of being members of Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, according to the country’s Tasnim news agency. The suspects, detained in Alborz province, were reportedly involved in manufacturing explosives and electronic devices.

Arrests of this nature are not uncommon amid the ongoing covert conflict between Iran and Israel. In the past, the Tehran government has frequently accused individuals of collaborating with Mossad, leading to arrests and executions—especially those alleged to have engaged in sabotage or assassinations targeting Iran’s nuclear program.

Hamid Golamzadeh, director of the Tehran-based research institute Diplomat House, told Al Jazeera that Israeli attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure have failed to destabilize the country. Instead, these attacks have strengthened national unity and the public’s resolve to resist.

“These attacks have had a somewhat positive effect on Iranians,” Golamzadeh said. “People now see this as more than just a government issue—it is a question of the very existence of the Iranian nation.” According to him, public sentiment remains resolute and committed to resistance.
