Iran confirms open land crossings amid heightened tensions with Israel
As tensions escalate with Israel, many foreigners living in Iran are seeking to leave the country. In response, an Iranian official has confirmed that all land border crossings remain open.
Javad Hedayati, Director General of Iran’s Transportation Bureau, told the Tasnim news agency that passenger and cargo transport through the borders is continuing normally.
With all flights suspended, numerous foreigners including Pakistani, Chinese, and South Korean nationals have begun exiting Iran via land routes over the past few days.
However, Hedayati noted that ongoing Israeli attacks and heightened security measures have somewhat slowed the flow of people and goods entering Iran.
