Iran has resumed missile attacks targeting Israeli territory, reigniting tensions just as a ceasefire was expected to take effect.

According to reports from Al Jazeera, the missile launches began on Tuesday morning, with projectiles fired from Iranian territory toward various parts of Israel. In response, the Israeli military has urged citizens to seek immediate shelter upon hearing warning sirens.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that its air defense systems are actively engaged in intercepting incoming missiles. Sirens have sounded across multiple regions in northern and southern Israel, signaling potential threats from the ongoing assault.

The Times of Israel reported that alerts were triggered simultaneously in both the north and south, with the IDF issuing widespread warnings shortly after detecting the Iranian launches.

This escalation comes at a critical moment. Just hours earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran, scheduled to take effect the following day. However, Iran's renewed missile offensive has cast doubt over the stability of the truce and raised concerns of a broader conflict.

As of now, there have been no confirmed reports of casualties or major damage. Both nations remain on high alert.
