Iran has announced the suspension of all its commitments under the 'Islamabad Memorandum', accusing the United States of violating the agreement. The decision was announced on Saturday amid ongoing military tensions.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said Iran is no longer bound to implement the memorandum signed under Pakistan's mediation, as the US had already violated its commitments under the agreement.

"Under the Islamabad Memorandum, the United States has violated and suspended all its commitments, and in response, Iran has also suspended all its commitments under the agreement," he told Fars News Agency. "Our current priority is to defend the country."

The 14-point interim memorandum, aimed at a ceasefire and de-escalation between Washington and Tehran, was signed in June. Key provisions included reopening the Strait of Hormuz, lifting the US naval blockade and gradually reducing military tensions.

Iranian officials had previously accused the US of violating the agreement and warned that continued US strikes could render it void.

Amid the recent conflict, Iran's health ministry claimed that at least 50 people had been killed and over 500 wounded in new US strikes since July 6. The IRGC has warned that countries hosting US forces could also face retaliatory attacks.

Meanwhile, Iran claimed that a water treatment plant in the Jask area of Hormozgan province was damaged by a US strike on Friday night, disrupting safe water supply for approximately 10,000 people. Air raid sirens were also reported in Bahrain, and Kuwait's military said it had intercepted multiple missiles and drones heading towards its airspace.

It should be noted that casualty figures and military claims are based on statements from the parties involved and cannot be independently verified immediately.
