Iran War: 13 US troops killed as conflict enters day 36

The ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States has reached its 36th day as of Saturday (April 4), with mounting casualties and widespread destruction reported across Iran, according to international media.

The Pentagon confirmed that at least 13 US service members have been killed in the fighting as of Friday, while a further 365 personnel have been injured.

Among the injured, 247 are from the US Army, 63 from the Navy, 36 from the Air Force, and 19 from the Marine Corps.

Meanwhile, the United States has acknowledged that two of its warplanes were shot down over Iran on Friday. It remains unclear whether there were any casualties in those incidents.

US officials said one crew member has been rescued, while efforts are ongoing to recover the pilot.

Separately, US-based human rights organization HRANA reported that since the start of the conflict, at least 3,531 people have been killed in Iran, including 1,607 civilians. Among the civilian victims are 244 children.
