Iran war nearing to conclusion, says Trump
US President Donald Trump has said the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran is “very close to ending,”
suggesting the war may be nearing its conclusion amid a temporary two-week ceasefire.
Speaking in an interview with Fox Business, Trump said, “I think it’s almost over. I see it as very close to ending.”
Despite indicating progress toward de-escalation, Trump stressed that the United States is not preparing for a full withdrawal from the situation, arguing that long-term stabilisation efforts are still required.
“If I pull out completely right now, it would take Iran 20 years to rebuild,” he said, adding that US involvement is not yet complete.
Trump also suggested that Iran is seeking a deal under pressure, saying the country appears “very desperate” to reach an agreement.
The remarks come as tensions in the region ease slightly under a temporary ceasefire, though uncertainty remains over the long-term trajectory of the conflict.
