At least 33 people were injured in an Iranian missile attack on the northern Israeli port city of Haifa on Friday (June 20), according to the US news channel CNN, citing local hospital sources.

Rambam Medical Center in Haifa reported that one of the injured is in serious condition. Another 16 people with minor injuries are also receiving treatment at the hospital.

The ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel began on June 13. Since then, both sides have carried out retaliatory attacks. So far, at least 24 people have died in Israel due to Iranian attacks, according to Israel’s emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA).

Meanwhile, Israeli forces carried out an airstrike on a residential building in the Iranian city of Qom. A 16-year-old boy was killed, and two others were injured and admitted to the hospital, according to Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency.

The exact target of the airstrike has not yet been confirmed.

Saturday (June 21) marks the ninth day of the ongoing conflict. Multiple explosions were heard in the skies over Tehran and Isfahan in the morning. Al Jazeera verified the authenticity of social media reports about these explosions.
