Iran-Israel's counterclaims over Khamenei's death
Israel and Iranian authorities have made counterclaims over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
An Israeli official has claimed that Khamenei is dead and his body has been found.
Israeli media outlet Channel 12 reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was shown a photo of Khamenei's body. He died in his palace compound. His body was recovered from there by Iranian rescuers.
Meanwhile, Iran has denied the news of Khamenei's death. The country said that the enemies are engaged in psychological warfare. Everyone must be vigilant in this regard.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghei told US media outlet ABC News that President Masoud Pajhwok and Supreme Leader Khamenei are both fine. He also said that the government is running very well.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier that intelligence indicated Khamenei had been killed. Bagheri followed suit shortly after. However, an Israeli official told Reuters shortly after that that Khamenei had been killed in a joint Israeli-US strike.
