Iran's death toll rises to 3,186 : HRANA
The death toll in Iran has risen to 3,186 since the joint US-Israel military strikes began on February 28, according to the Washington-based human rights organization Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA).
At least 210 of the deceased are children, it said.
HRANA’s report states that 1,394 of the dead are civilians, while 1,153 are military personnel. The status of another 639 remains unconfirmed, with details of their identities and cause of death still unclear.
Analysts warn that the ongoing conflict is creating a humanitarian crisis across multiple regions of Iran, with the civilian population bearing the brunt of the violence.
Previous reports have also indicated a steady increase in casualties as the hostilities continue.
The human rights organization emphasized that the impact of the conflict is most severe on ordinary citizens, highlighting the urgent need for humanitarian assistance.
