US President Donald Trump has warned that Washington would launch a far more forceful military response if the ceasefire with Iran collapses, saying such a scenario could leave the Islamic Republic with "no existence."

In a post on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, Trump accused Iran of violating the ceasefire agreement once again, claiming US warplanes had responded by striking Iranian missile and drone storage facilities, as well as coastal radar installations.

"Once again, Iran violated the ceasefire agreement, prompting US aircraft to strike its missile and drone storage sites and coastal radar facilities," Trump wrote.

He further warned that the United States might soon be unable to exercise restraint.

"There may come a point when we can no longer hold back. If that happens, we will be compelled to complete the military operation we began so successfully. If that occurs, there will be no existence of the Islamic Republic of Iran," he said.

Earlier on Saturday, the US military announced a second wave of strikes targeting Iranian military assets. Washington said the operation was carried out in response to alleged Iranian attacks on commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), Iran was also responsible for Friday's attack on a Panama-flagged oil tanker carrying nearly two million barrels of crude. The command released a 35-second aerial video on social media platform X showing explosions from the operation, stating that US naval and air forces had struck at least 10 Iranian military sites near the Strait of Hormuz.

The latest escalation follows renewed military tensions that began on February 28 with joint US-Israeli strikes on Iran. Although Washington and Tehran signed a memorandum of understanding two weeks ago aimed at reducing hostilities, both sides have continued to accuse each other of violating the ceasefire.

Meanwhile, diplomatic efforts to secure a permanent ceasefire remain underway in Switzerland, where US and Iranian representatives are holding talks.

However, the latest military strikes and renewed accusations have cast fresh uncertainty over the negotiations.
