Iran’s nuclear sites destroyed, will take years to rebuild: CIA Director
Central Intelligence Agency Director John Ratcliffe announced Wednesday that credible intelligence shows Iran’s nuclear program has been significantly damaged by recent U.S. airstrikes, and it will take years to rebuild.
Ratcliffe said, “New intelligence from a historically reliable source confirms that several key Iranian nuclear facilities were destroyed and will require years to be rebuilt.”
This statement follows a leaked preliminary assessment from a Pentagon intelligence agency, released Tuesday, which suggested that core components of Iran’s nuclear program remained intact despite the bombings.
President Trump, however, maintained that the raid had “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear facilities.
