Dramatic scenes unfolded early on in the World Cup group stage match between Senegal and Iraq. In just the 13th minute of the game, an Iraqi player was shown a straight red card and forced to leave the pitch, leaving Iraq to play the remainder of the match with only 10 men. Earlier, Senegal had taken a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 4th minute. Following the red card, the situation has grown even more challenging for Iraq, who also made a substitution in the 16th minute, presumably due to an injury. With a one-goal advantage against a 10-man Iraqi side, Sadio Mané's Senegal is now looking to maintain control of the match.
