Israel’s operation in Iran not over yet: Netanyahu
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel’s military campaign against Iran is “not over yet, still has much more to do.”
In a video message released Saturday (April 11), Netanyahu said the operation’s achievements so far as “historic.” The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had already secured significant gains but must continue efforts.
Pointing to concerns over Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile, he said, “Iran must either agree to remove such materials through a deal or face alternative measures.”
Netanyahu said the campaign was launched because Iran was nearing the capability to produce nuclear weapons, which he argued would pose an existential threat to Israel.
He also claimed Tehran had sought to move key elements of its missile and nuclear programmes deep underground to evade potential strikes.
His remarks comes amid talks between United States and Iran were underway in Islamabad. However, the 21-day round of Iran–US talks ended without agreement, further complicating diplomatic efforts.
