Jamaat district unit ameer, who detained with money, handed over to family

Thakurgaon district unit Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Belal Uddin Pradhan, who was detained with Tk74 lakh in cash at Syedpur Airport in Nilphamari, has been handed over to his family.

Rangpur Metropolitan unit Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary KM Anwarul Haque Kajal gave this information at a press conference at Rangpur Medical College (RMC) Hospital around 10:30 pm on Wednesday (February 11). However, at 11:30 pm, a hospital director said that Belal Uddin has been referred to Dhaka Heart Foundation for better treatment.

KM Anwarul Haque Kajal said at the press conference that this is a conspiratorial incident. Such a situation has been created to tarnish Jamaat's image. Currently, Belal Uddin is undergoing treatment at the hospital and medical police have also been kept for his security. He also said that there is no case against Thakurgaon district unit ameer, the administration was only present to ensure his security.

Dr. Haripada Roy, head of the cardiology department at Rangpur Medical College, said that Belal Uddin, who was admitted with chest pain, had an ECG problem. He has been kept under observation in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) due to fear of a heart attack.
