Rangon Music’s special drama “Je Bandhon Jaay Na Chhera” has crossed the 4-million-view milestone on YouTube, marking a significant digital success for the production.

Written by Shafiqul Rahman Shantanu, the drama is jointly directed by Amitabh Ahmed Rana and Subrata Mitra. It was released on the Rangon Entertainment YouTube channel during the Eid season.

The story centers on the complexities of urban family relationships and emotional distance. It follows Haayat Sahab, a man in his sixties who spent much of his life working in a rural area and helped establish his only son in Dhaka. After his wife’s death and due to illness, he moves into his son’s home for care. While the initial days reflect warmth and family bonding, the pressures of urban life gradually create emotional strain between father and son, highlighting themes of loneliness, love, and generational conflict.

Reacting to the achievement, director Amitabh Ahmed Rana said the milestone represents more than just numbers. “This is a reflection of audience love, trust, and continuous support. Each view carries a story of engagement, and it motivates us to take more responsibility and create better work in the future,” he said.

Co-director Subrata Mitra described the production as a deeply emotional family story. “It is about the bond between a father and son—full of desire, limitations, and emotional struggle. The son wants to dedicate everything for his father, but reality places him before different challenges,” he noted, thanking viewers and supporters for their continued encouragement.

The drama features an ensemble cast including Abul Hayat, Irfan Sajjad, Sunerah Binte Kamal, SM Ashraful Alam Sohag, Reshma Ahmed, Azam Khan, Iftekhar Palash, Azizul Islam, Rajib Natraj, Sujan Bhuiyan, and child actor Ibrahim, among others.

Shot across various locations in Uttara, Mirpur, and Agargaon in Dhaka, the production was filmed by cinematographer Sumon Hossain, with music composed by Prottay Khan. The project was produced by Md. Jamal Hossain. As a special drama for Pahela Baishakh, “Je Bandhan Jay Na Chhera” was broadcast on Channel I.
