Jet fuel price up Tk 9.31 per litre

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has hiked the price of jet fuel for the month of August. The price per litre of jet fuel for domestic flights has been raised from Tk 130.99 to Tk 159.52.

According to a message from BERC on Sunday, August 9, the price for international flights has also been increased from $0.8556 to $1.0358 per litre.

This comes after a series of price adjustments following the Russia-Ukraine war. On March 24 this year, the price of jet fuel was increased by 80 percent on domestic routes and about 79 percent on international routes. Another hike followed on April 7 .

Subsequently, prices began to fall. For May, the price per litre of jet fuel for domestic flights was reduced from Tk 227.08 to Tk 205.45. In June, it was further reduced to Tk 150.21 .

The current adjustment for August adds Tk 9.31 per litre to the domestic jet fuel price.
