A major theft has taken place at Bollywood actress Amisha Patel's Mumbai home. A domestic help has been accused of stealing jewellery worth several lakh taka. The actress has already lodged a complaint at the police station. Police have begun investigating to recover the stolen jewellery.

According to the complaint, the maid had admitted to the theft and had also been asked to return the jewellery for about five to six months.

Police sources said the jewellery was stolen from the house in Churchgate, Mumbai, where Amisha Patel's mother, Asha Patel, lives. In January 2026, a diamond bangle went missing from that house. At the time, the actress's mother expressed suspicion about the domestic help, Seema.

For about five to six months, the maid had admitted to the theft and had also been asked to return the jewellery. As the jewellery was not returned, Amisha's mother, Asha Patel, lodged a complaint at Marine Drive Police Station. The estimated current market value of the stolen bangle is around Tk 5 lakh.

Based on Asha Patel's complaint, Marine Drive Police Station began investigating the incident. During the investigation, the maid, Seema, was detained from Vira.

When Seema was produced in court, she was ordered to be kept in police custody until September 15. However, the stolen valuable jewellery has not yet been recovered. It has been learned that Seema had been working at Amisha's Churchgate home for the past one and a half years. Investigators are also examining whether there were any previous criminal allegations against her.
