Judge’s son stabbed to death at home in Rajshahi
A young man named Tawshif Rahman Suman, 20, was stabbed to death after miscreants broke into the house of a judge in Rajshahi. The judge’s wife, Tasmin Nahar, was injured in the incident and admitted to Rajshahi Medical College (RMC) Hospital.
The incident took place around 4pm on Thursday, November 13, in the Dabtala area of Rajshahi city.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police spokesperson Gaziur Rahman confirmed the matter.
He said miscreants entered the residence of Abdus Rahman, judge of the Rajshahi Metropolitan and Sessions Judge’s Court, and stabbed his son Tawshif Rahman Suman to death. One person has been detained in connection with the incident.
RMC Hospital spokesperson Shankar K Biswas said one person was killed, and the victim’s mother is under treatment at the hospital.
Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Media) Gaziur Rahman said the killer is in custody and also undergoing treatment at the hospital. Legal proceedings are underway.
