Kashfia Chowdhury, a young talent from Keraniganj, Dhaka, is gradually carving out her own identity in the media industry. Having completed her HSC from Nayabazar University College, the young woman has been working to establish herself in modelling and acting for the past four years.
From an early age, she had a special fascination with the glamour world. Watching fashion shows on television and practising her walk in front of the mirror were part of her childhood. However, her path to this dream was not without challenges. After facing trolling and ridicule, she withdrew socially for a time, but eventually overcame the mental pressure and made a strong comeback.
Kashfia cites praise for her walk as a source of inspiration for her growing interest in modelling. She believes that staying true to one's individuality and having proper guidance are crucial for surviving in the media industry.
She is currently busy with various fashion shows and modelling projects. Kashfia has also expressed her desire to work in OTT platforms and films in the future. She wants to prioritise the quality of the story and the depth of the character in her work.
Although she did not receive full support from her family initially, Kashfia says their perspective has changed over time. According to her, it is difficult to progress in this profession without the trust and support of one's family.
She draws inspiration from popular artists such as Shabnur, Humayun Faridi, Joya Ahsan and Opi Karim. Her advice to newcomers is that success comes not through shortcuts, but through hard work, training and patience.
Kashfia Chowdhury's goal is clear: not just to stay in the spotlight, but to establish herself as a skilled and accomplished actress, securing a lasting place in the hearts of audiences.
