Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman file nomination papers in Bogura

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman have submitted their nomination papers for the 13th National Parliamentary Election in Bogura.

On Monday ( December 29), Mohammad Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, adviser to the BNP Chairperson and former MP, and Bogura district BNP president Rezaul Karim Badsha submitted the nomination papers on behalf of Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman, respectively.

According to party sources, Tarique Rahman signed his nomination papers on Sunday (Dec 28) for Bogura-6 (Sadar) constituency under the BNP’s ‘Dhanner Sheesh’ symbol and handed them over to district BNP president Rezaul Karim Badsha.

Earlier, late on Saturday night (Dec 27), ABM Abdus Sattar, personal secretary to Khaleda Zia, handed over her nomination papers for Bogura-7 (Shajahanpur–Gabtoli) to Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu and Gabtoli Upazila BNP president Morshed Milton.

Subsequently, on Monday afternoon, the nomination papers for Bogura-7 were formally submitted to the district returning officer on behalf of Khaleda Zia, with party leaders present. On the same day, Tarique Rahman’s nomination for Bogura-6 was submitted at the district administration office by Rezaul Karim Badsha, accompanied by BNP leaders including joint general secretary Enamul Haque Shaheen.
