Kohli breaks Tendulkar's record with 85 against Australia

Kohli achieved a remarkable feat by surpassing Sachin Tendulkar‘s record for the highest runs scored by an Indian in ICC white-ball tournaments.

Chasing 200 runs against Australia, India were reduced to 2-3 in 2 overs. Kohli remained determined to lead his team to victory following a challenging start to their World Cup campaign. Throughout his innings, Kohli not only displayed his masterful batting skills but also overtook Tendulkar’s long-standing record in ICC tournaments.

Tendulkar, often hailed as the GOAT, had amassed a total of 2719 runs in 58 innings in ICC white-ball tournaments for India. Kohli’s remarkable feat came in just 64 innings, underlining his consistency and prowess as a run-scorer on the global stage.
