Laura Dern to star in Epstein scandal limited series

Oscar and Emmy-winning actress Laura Dern will portray investigative journalist Julie K. Brown in a new limited TV series exploring Jeffrey Epstein’s notorious sexual abuse and trafficking network.

The Sony Pictures Television production is based on Brown’s book 'Perversion of Justice: The Jeffrey Epstein Story', which details her groundbreaking reporting for the 'Miami Herald' that exposed Epstein’s crimes and powerful connections, ultimately contributing to his 2019 arrest.

The series is written by Sharon Hoffman and Eileen Myers, known for 'House of Cards' and 'Masters of Sex'. Oscar-winning producer Adam McKay’s Hyperobject Industries and Dern’s Zevid Productions will serve as executive producers.

This will be the first scripted TV series on Epstein, highlighting decades of abuse and institutional failures while focusing on Brown’s efforts to secure justice for victims.

The series is likely to release late 2026 or early 2027.
