Letter sent to India requesting repatriation of Hasina: Foreign Adviser

Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has said that a letter has been sent to India requesting the repatriation of Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

He said this while speaking to several journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday evening, November 23.

Touhid Hossain stated that the letter seeking the return of Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal was sent to India’s Ministry of External Affairs from the Bangladesh Mission in Delhi on Friday.

Earlier, the adviser mentioned that no reply had yet been received to the previous letter requesting Hasina’s return. “But now the situation is different. A sentence has now been delivered. We also have agreements with them, so we will officially send a letter to bring her back,” he added.

Notably, on November 17, the International Crimes Tribunal sentenced Sheikh Hasina and Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal to death.
