Barcelona eased into the last 16 of the Copa del Rey with a commanding 4-0 victory over fourth-division side Barbastro on Saturday night.

Robert Lewandowski was the star of the show, netting twice to guide the visitors to a comfortable win. The Polish striker, who had also scored the decisive goal in their previous encounter at this stage, delivered another stellar performance.

Defender Eric Garcia opened the scoring in the 21st minute, heading home a pinpoint cross from Ronald Araujo. Lewandowski doubled the lead ten minutes later, nodding in a cross from Pablo Torre. The Poland international struck again just after the break, converting a low finish from close range after a second assist from Torre, who later added a goal of his own following an error from Barbastro goalkeeper Arnau Fabrega.

This dominant display marks a strong start to 2025 for Barcelona, who are looking to improve on last season's cup campaign that ended in a quarter-final defeat to Athletic Bilbao.
